Band instruction is available, for a fee, for interested students from grades 4 to 8. The Diocesan Program dictates the monthly fee annually. The instruments are rented with the option to buy. Small group lessons are provided one period a week and practice is held once a week. It is the responsibility of the student to make up missed work in other classes. A meeting is held at the beginning of each school year to provide more information for interested parents.
Saint Rosalia Academy’s have many performing opportunities during the school year such as holiday events, seasonal concerts, and volunteer performances at the local senior citizens home. The Saint Rosalia Academy Choir performs annually at the Crèche (Life size nativity scene) at the USX tower in downtown Pittsburgh during the Christmas Holidays. All students in grades 3 to 8 are invited to participate in the choir.
